As per the directions of Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority and Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, the Campaign against drugs titled Drug Addiction- Damage to Mankind has been inaugurated by Sh. Manjinder Singh, Hon’ble Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority by flagging off cycle rally.
On the said occasion, Hon’ble District and Sessions Judge Sh. B.B.S. Teji, Superintendent of Police has graced the occasion. During the rally, Sh. Manjinder Singh, Hon’ble Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar told that the main motive of the rally is to provide awareness regarding the drug abuse to the youth of Punjab. He told also that by using drugs the person himself does not deteriorate his life but also pushes his family into trouble. During the rally, students of Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Barnala, BVM International School, Barnala and YS Public School, Barnala. The rally starts from the Judicial Court Complex and reaches at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Barnala and returns back on the same route. One Legal Aid Clinic at Sakhi One Stop Centre, Barnala was also opened.
