Rs 25 cr grant given to Dhanaula for various developmental works, MP Meet Hayer
--Marriage palace, indoor stadium, laying of roads, sewer to be done in Dhanaula

The Member of Parliament from Sangrur constituency Mr Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer today gave a grant of Rs 25 cr for initiation of various developmental works in Dhanaula city.
Addressing a gathering of the people at Bazigar Basti Dhanaula, where he laid foundation stone for laying of interlocking tiles in the streets of area, Mr Meet Hayer said that it was for the first time that Govenrment of Punjab had issued massive grant of Rs 25 cr for Dhanaula. Earlier, the nagar council Dhanaula had been left to fend for itself and the state government did not give any aid to it.
It was first for Dhanaula that under stewardship of Punjab govenrment, a large chunk of grant has been issued. He added that grant shall be spent on making indoor stadium for badminton and boxing, for constructing community marriage palace, for laying of roads having interlocking tiles and other purposes.
He said that tye state govenrment was committed to usher in best for the people of Punjab. He added that he has been working relentlessly for the betterment of Barnala assembly constituency for which already Rs 300 cr has been spent on providing water for irrigation to the farmers. He said that the amount has been spent on laying under ground water pipes for irrigation. Also apart from this, farmers have been provided proper canal water outlets to help the have better access to canal water for irrigation. Already such outlets have been constructed in villages Bhure, Harigarh and Badbar, while the work on installing an outlet in village Kubbe shall also be done soon.
