MLA Advocate Lakhbir Singh Rai handed over sanction letters to 54 beneficiaries at village Chanarthal Kalan
An amount of Rs.1.20 lakh is given to each beneficiary in 03 installments

The disbursal of the sanction letters of about 4,636.8 lakh rupees under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Grameen) to 3864 beneficiaries of Halka Fatehgarh Sahib was started by the MLA Advocate Lakhbir Singh Rai by handing over the sanction letters to 54 beneficiaries at village Chanarthal Kalan.
These beneficiaries include 2627 beneficiaries of the area under the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Sirhind and 1237 beneficiaries of the area under the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Khera.
On this occasion, the house entrance ceremony of the beneficiaries, whose houses have been completed was also conducted. Under this scheme, an amount of 01 lakh 20 thousand rupees is provided through three installments to the beneficiaries based on the criteria set by the government.
The MLA said that under this scheme, the first installment of Rs.30,000, the second installment of Rs.72,000 and the third installment of Rs.18,000 are given to replace the Kutcha houses of those who are found to be eligible under this scheme. He said that after about 15 years this amount has been received by the beneficiaries.
MLA Rai further said that the state government is committed to the welfare of all sections of the society. He said that the state government is making continuous efforts in all aspects of education, development, and health and all development activities are being done above party politics.
The MLA said that housing is a basic need of every human being, the absence of which is a big problem for humans and the Punjab government is committed to solve the problems of the people.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Surinder Singh Dhaliwal, BDPO Sirhind Deep Shikha, Gurmeet Singh Brass, Teji Brass, Lucky Bhagrana, Narotamjit Singh, Gurpreet Singh Kala, Ajit Singh Timberpur, Harmesh Punnia, Rajdeep Raju, Advocate Manpreet Singh, Varinder Singh were also present
