Special DGP Law and Order holds Crime Review with DIG and SSPs of Ropar Range at Mohali
SAS Nagar, February 20, 2025:
To assess the progress of the Special Campaign aimed at expediting the disposal of pending FIRs under investigation across the state, with a particular focus on cases pending for over a year, Sh. Arpit Shukla, IPS, Special Director General of Police, Law & Order, Punjab holds a crime review meeting with DIG and SSPs of Ropar Range at the District Police Office, SAS Nagar.
The meeting was attended by Harcharan Singh Bhullar, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ropar Range; Sh. Gulneet Singh Khurana, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ropar; Smt. Ravjot Grewal, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib; along with other senior officers, including Superintendents of Police from SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Ropar districts.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of pending investigations was conducted, with a focus on identifying key bottlenecks causing delays in FIR disposals. Special DGP Sh. Arpit Shukla emphasized the need for proactive measures to expedite long-pending cases and directed officers to ensure strict compliance with the Special Campaign under their direct supervision, particularly in cases pending for over a year.
