Urban estates to be built in cities of Punjab: Mundian

·       Directions issued to Chief Administrators of Development Authorities to search for sites

Chandigarh, March 27

Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardip Singh Mundian has said that sites are being explored to build urban estates in cities/towns of the state.

Mr. Mundian was responding to a question raised by MLA from Nakodar Inderjit Kaur Mann during the Question Hour of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha today regarding the establishment of Urban Estates in Nakodar and Nurmahal.

The Minister said that the department has issued instructions to the Chief Administrators of all development authorities of the state to select suitable sites in order to establish urban estates in their respective jurisdictions and then send the proposals to the government. He said that as per these instructions, the concerned authorities are searching for suitable sites.
