ਬਠਿੰਡਾ, 11 ਮਾਰਚ - ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਦ੍ਰੋਪਦੀ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇਥੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਏਮਜ਼ ਦੇ ਕਨਵੋਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਏਮਜ਼ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਫਾਇਤੀ ਇਲਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਏਮਜ਼ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ। ਕਿਫਾਇਤੀ ਕੀਮਤ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਏਮਜ਼ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਏਮਜ਼ ਵਰਗੇ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਿ 750 ਬਿਸਤਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਏਮਜ਼ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਪਰ-ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲਿਟੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਏਮਜ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਿੱਸੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ, ਦਿਆਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ, ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ, ਯੋਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਰੁਟੀਨ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਦਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਿਆਸ਼ੀਲ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ 9 ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਐਮਬੀਬੀਐਸ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ 49 ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਐਮਡੀ, ਐਮਐਸ, ਅਤੇ ਐਮਡੀਐਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ 6 ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੱਲ 36 ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਦ੍ਰੋਪਦੀ ਮੁਰਮੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ 'ਤੇ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਚੰਦ ਕਟਾਰੀਆ, ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁੱਡੀਆਂ, ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਤੇ ਚੀਫ਼ ਵਿਪ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਪਦਮਜੀਤ ਮਹਿਤਾ, ਡਵੀਜ਼ਨਲ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਫ਼ਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ, ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ੌਕਤ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਪਰੇ, ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਡੀ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਜੈਨ, ਏਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਐੱਸਪੀਐੱਸ ਪਰਮਾਰ, ਡੀ.ਆਈ.ਜੀ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਰੇਂਜ ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਮੈਡਮ ਅਮਨੀਤ ਕੌਂਡਲ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

PRESIDENT OF INDIA GRACES CONVOCATION CEREMONY OF AIIMS, BATHINDA
Bathinda, 11 March - The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu graced the convocation ceremony of AIIMS, Bathinda today (March 11, 2025).
Speaking on the occasion, the President said that for citizens, AIIMS means the best and affordable treatment and for students AIIMS means good facilities for higher education and research. To provide excellent tertiary healthcare at affordable cost and promote research and development in the medical field, many AIIMS have been established in the country.
The President said that prestigious institutes like AIIMS must remain at the forefront of research and innovation along with treatment. She was happy to note that AIIMS, Bathinda with 750 beds is providing complete healthcare to the people of this region through many specialty and super-specialty departments. She appealed to all stakeholders of AIIMS, Bathinda, to develop it as a regional centre of medical excellence through their research and medical service. She emphasised that the focus of their research should be on solving global as well as local health issues.
The President said that doctors have been given a very high place in our society. A doctor is expected to have professional competence as well as human values like compassion, kindness, and sympathy. She advised doctors to understand this moral responsibility and work accordingly. She said that as a medical professional, many times they would go through very challenging situations. They have to control their emotions to face those challenges. She advised them to take care of their health, adopt a proper lifestyle, make yoga and exercise a part of their daily routine. She said that all these steps would help them in keeping themselves mentally and physically healthy and active.
Earlier Smt Droupadi Murmu Hon'ble President of India was received at the Bhisiana Airport by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria Hon'ble Governor Punjab alongwith Shri Gurmeet Singh Khudian Cabinet Minister Punjab, MLA Talwandi Sabo and Chief Whip Prof Baljinder Kaur, Mayor Municipal Corporation Bathinda Shri Padamjeet Mehta. Senior officers Shri Manjeet Brar, Divisional Commissioner Faridkot, Shri Showkat Ahmed Parray, Deputy Commissioner Bathinda, Special DGP Shri Jatinder Jain, ADGP SPS Parmar, DIG Bathinda Range Shri Harjit Singh and SSP Bathinda Madam Amneet Kondal also accorded cordial welcome to the Hon'ble President of India.
