--Minister visits at Faridkot Civil Hospital to assess all requirements, infrastructure and manpower in government hospital
Faridkot, 28-June-2023:- Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh today said that the top priority of Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is to keep the public in good health. The minister was speaking to media persons during his visit to the Civil Hospital, Faridkot.
During his visit, Civil Surgeon Anil Kumar Goyal gave a Power Point Presentation during which he informed the minister about the blood donation, free medicines provided to the patients, facilities for physically disabled, financial matter and other related issues. He also informed the minister that the hotline power connection is restored today in the civil hospital. Civil Surgeon also sought that the 130 bedded Civil Hospital can be converted into 150 bedded by including 20 beds of the drug-de-addiction center. He said that by doing this they will be able to get more facilities.
The minister asked the Civil Surgeon to give extra attention towards Yoga activities in all the government hospitals in the district and the doctors should also encourage patients for meditation. Health Minister appreciated the efforts initiated by the doctors of the Civil Hospital and asked them to support Punjab Government's initiative of providing excellent health facilities for the patients.
The minister said that government is leaving no stone unturned to improve the infrastructure in Civil Hospitals across the state for which adequate measures are being taken. He also spoke about the Aam Admi Clinics which are setup by the Punjab Government few months ago. He said that public heaved a sigh of great relief with the setting up of these clinics setup across the state.
He pointed out that very soon secondary health care services will also be upgraded in the government hospitals. "Though I am always stay in touch with the doctors and health department officials, today's visit is to get first hand information about the top requirements in government hospitals", he said.
Replying to media queries he said that recruitment of fresh batch of 550 House Surgeons will be done soon and also facilitation centers will also be setup so that patients should not face any difficulties during their visit to the government hospitals.They will be deployed in the state.Emergency services will be improved
During his visit to the hospital, the minister also interacted with the patients and enquired about their well being and noted what more needs to be done in the hospitals.
Among others who were also present during Minister's visit were Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar, SDM Baljeet Kaur, Civil Surgeon Anil Goyal, Senior Medical Officer Chander Shekhar, Planning Board Chairman Sukhjit Singh Dhillwan, and District Public Relations Officer Gurdeep Singh Mann.
