Ludhiana, March 7
A UK based NRI Randhir Singh on Friday expressed his gratitude to Punjab government and Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal for their proactive response in getting cleared of his 17-acres of encroached land in Bhundri village of district.
During an inspection of the vacated land, the Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal emphasized that the state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is dedicated to addressing the concerns of the NRI community while providing transparent governance in Punjab. He noted that NRI Randhir Singh had approached him regarding the encroachment of his land by his brother. Upon receiving the complaint, he promptly issued orders to the officials to reclaim the land. Further, Randhir Singh’s ancestral house will also be freed from encroachers in the coming days.
Dhaliwal reported that since he assumed leadership of the NRI ministry, 3,200 cases involving NRIs have been resolved over the past three years. He added that the state government has established a mechanism to efficiently address the issues faced by the NRI community, enabling them to resolve matters without having to extend their stay in Punjab.
