Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak initiates Sewerage cleaning work with aid of super suction machines in Daulatpur Dhaki

Great efforts are afoot under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to take Punjab further up the trajectory of development. As part of this, the Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Forest & Wildlife Preservation Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak today initiated the work of Sewerage cleaning in the Pathankot City with the help of Super Suction Machines which would rid the people of the menace of clogged Sewerage. The Minister started the work at Daulatpur Dhaki.
Divulging more, the Minister said that the Punjab Government is undertaking special measures to mitigate the lot of each city especially the corporation cities which often face the problem clogged Sewerage leading to the emanation of foul smell. It is for the resolution of such problems that the project with regard to cleaning up the Sewerage in Pathankot City has been commenced today which would provide immense relief to the residents of the city.
Not only one or two wards but the Super Suction Machines would be made use of to clean up the entire city at a cost of Rs. 1 crore, said the Minister adding the construction of main Sewerage line and Sewerage treatment has begun at Sujanpur too with the cost of Rs. 34 Crore. Besides, the project of Sewerage Treatment Plant has also seen commencement at Narot Jaimal Singh. He also appealed to the people to avoid mixing of contaminated water in the nature water resources.
Among others present on the occasion included the ADC General Ankurjit Singh, Chairman PESCO Punjab Captain Sunil Gupta, Chairman Market Committee Pathankot Vikas Saini, Mayor of Pathankot Municipal Corporation Panna Lal Bhatia, Councillor Vikram Singh Vikku, Councillor Baljit Singh Tinku and Councillor Charanjit Singh Happy.
